Meet Southern Lights
Our story
The idea of Southern Lights was born in 2020 from Felipe Gallardo‘s decade-long experience in energy project development and consultancy. Frustrated by the inefficient and fragmented processes in the energy sector, particularly in emerging technologies like Power-to-X, Felipe began developing his own models and tools to streamline project workflows.
In 2022, the company of Southern Lights officially formed when Felipe met his co-founders and began turning the prototype into a full platform. Gustav Ekberg was the perfect match, as he had long experience in building products and leading successful tech teams.
Today, Southern Lights supports some of Europe’s most ambitious green energy developers – from idea to implementation.
Our mission is to replace fossil fuels in heavy industry by enabling clean energy at scale. Our software is made by leading experts in energy project development and software engineering.
Southern Lights is based in Stockholm, Sweden, but we are an international team from different countries, all committed to make a significant impact on the world. We develop our product with customer experience as core value, rely on data-driven approaches and tackle our challenges in a systemic and sustainable way.
